Image Super Dad Charlie Hawkins, Jr. and wife, Shirley Hawkins, have two children. Charles Hawkins and Beverly Woodbury; and five grandchildren. Charlie attended Lanier High School, Brazosport College, and recently retired from The Dow Chemical Company after thirty-six years. He enjoys working with the Angleton Juneteenth Celebration Parade Committee and has been a Board Member for the Freeport Girls Softball Team for twenty-one years. He is a member of the Bethel Baptist Church where the Reverend Gene Grear is his pastor. Charlie serves as the President of the Building Fund Committee and is a member of the Brotherhood. His philosophy of life is...."Everyone should be the best they can be, and always keep God in your life."

 

ImageSuper Dad Dail Ervin Ballard was born April 7, 1942 at Longbranch (Panola County) Texas. He served three years in the U.S. Army prior to attending Texas College in Tyler, Texas and earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Education. Dail worked thirty years for Dow Chemical and retired in 1998. He then worked eight years for the City of Freeport and retired in 2007. Dail and his wife, Wilesta Edison Ballard, have been married for thirty-seven years. They have three birth children ...two college grads and one beautician, one adopted child...college sophomore, and one legal custody child... an eight-year old elementary student. He and his wife were also instrumental in the rearing of three others who are adults now and still call them Mama and Pappa.  Dail has been involved in many civic organizations over the years including ...Brazoria County Organization for Unity (BCOU), Progressive Movement, Brazoria County Family Counseling, City of Freeport Revitalization Committee, Gospel Music Coalition, Freeport League, and Martin Luther King Celebration Committee (MLKCC). He currently serves as Chairman of Decons' Ministry at the New Jerusalem Baptist Church of Freeport and Founder of the Young Men's Mentoring Group. His philosophy of life is..."Help and give, be a blessing, and be blessed!"

ImageSuper Dad Eddie Allen Baugh, Sr. of Sweeny, Texas retired from BASF in 1992. He is married to Lovie Grice Baugh. They are the parents of seven children.... Eddie Baugh, Jr., Mary Baugh Stone, Linda Baugh Smith, Norma Baugh, Naomi Dickson, Terry Baugh Murray, and Dinah Baugh Lovelady. Eddie graduated from George Washington Carver High School in 1950 and served in the Korean war. He enjoys reading the Bible, spending time with family and friends, assisting and helping the needy, visiting the sick and shut-in, and attending/watching sports. He is a member of Bethleham A.M.E. Church in Old Ocean, Texas and serves as a Steward, Trustee, and member of the Choir. His favorite scripture is..."Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you...Matthew 6:33." His philosophy of life is..."Strive to live as Jesus would want us to live."
