Bishop Harris is the founder and CEO of Felton Harris Jr. Ministries International.  

He is also the founder and senior pastor of the House of Prayer and Praise Ministries located in Brazoria, Texas.

During 1983, Bishop Harris founded the Nehemiah Word of Faith Full Gospel Baptist Church in Inkster, Michican and pastored there 26 years before turning the reigns of this pastorship over to co-Pastor, Pastor R.L. Gibson in August 2009. This congregation grew to 400 members.

He is the husband of Patricia Harris, who walks along side of him, and the father of two children, a son, Adam and a daughter, Anegelica (deceased). 

Bishop Harris graduated from Pershing High School in Detroit, Michigan, and continued to further his education by attending Macomb Community College in Warren, Michigan.  After which he enrolled in the Rhema Bible School.

In 1971, while serving in the United States Air Force, Bishop Harris was called by God to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.  During his tour overseas, he organized several gospel choirs, some of which were in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Being obedient to his “calling”, Bishop Harris continued in the ministry and was ordained by the Reverend Eugene Rhodes in Michigan. He constantly studies God’s word and seeks the Lord’s divine will.  His messages are enlightening and challenging; they promote and convict, and are inspiring and life changing.
Bishop Harris is a true prophet of God, seeing that those things that he speaks into people’s lives come to pass. 

Bishop Harris served as the Bishop of District Overseers for the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International.  On July 12, 2005, he was consecrated to the sacred office of Bishop by order of the International Presiding Bishop, Paul S. Morton, Sr. and the Bishop’s Council of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship.

Bishop Harris is truly a man of God, operating in most of the gifts of the Spirit with a special anointing for the “laying on of hands”.  He makes himself available to be vessel through which the Holy Spirit can work freely.

When God spoke to him to start a ministry in Galveston, Texas he heeded to the call, due to a natural disaster that occurred in September 2008 in Galveston, Bishop Harris; relocated to Brazoria, TX.

Bishop Harris is a living example of what he preaches and teaches. He constantly reaches out to the destitute and distraught everywhere.  His level of service began under the leadership of many great men of God, where he served extensively in various areas of ministry, including but not limited to: ushering, armor bearing, Sunday school, janitorial work, transportation, music ministry and clergy. 

As a pastor with many years experience, I feel I am well qualified for the position of Senior Pastor which was recently brought to my attention.  You will see from the enclosed resume that I have pastored two churches in which I planted.  In each case, I was able to raise the spiritual standards of the church and increase its effectiveness as a positive witness for Christ.
