The 3rd Annual O.D. Kenemore Job Fair, sponsored by The Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee of Brazoria County (MLKCC), will be held on April 26, 2007 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Lake Jackson Civic Center, located at 333 Highway 332 East, Lake Jackson, TX, 77566. 

This job fair is named in honor of Mr. O.D. Kenemore "a trailblazer for workers' rights and long time philanthropist in Brazoria County".  Mr. Kenemore dedicated much of his life to securing jobs and fair labor practices for the citizens of this county.  Set-up can begin as early as 9:00 AM.

MLKCC will provide:

1. • tables and chairs,
2. • a light lunch with beverages
3. • broad public advertisement

We will also try to obtain wireless internet service for your online applications or company demos.

You will provide, table coverings, exhibits, hand-outs, etc. There is no charge for your participation. MLKCC sponsors this event as a service to the citizens of Brazoria County.

The availability of booths is limited so please confirm your company’s participation no later than March 23, 2007 to allow sufficient time to invite other companies. You can notify me via e-mail or phone call. Also, notify me for any special needs, questions, or concerns.

We look forward to a great 2007 Job Fair and to your participation. Participating job sectors included the chemical industry, specialty contractors, retail, public service, health care and transportation. 

This job fair was open to job seekers from the community. The purpose of this event was to connect employers in Brazoria County with potential employees.  The MLKCC is reaching out to the Brazoria County community to offer more than a celebration, but also significant  services to our county  residents.
