My experience makes me uniquely qualified. I’ve been in private practice for over fifteen years, handling cases in all the areas heard by this court, including family, probate, property, condemnation, criminal and other civil cases, up to and including $100,000.
I am a native of Brazoria County, growing up in Sweeny, Texas. I attended school in Sweeny and Brazosport ISD, graduating from Brazoswood High School. I have two associate’s degrees from Brazosport College, both with high honors. My bachelor of science degree is from Houston Baptist College, magna cum laude. I graduated from Bates College of Law at University of Houston in 1989.
I am a former president and current member of the Brazoria County Bar Association. I am licensed with the state of Texas and the Southern District Federal Court.
I have served on the boards of directors of Brazosport College, Salvation Army, and Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation. I have been active in the United Way Allocation Committee, CAER, and have coached youth soccer and baseball.
When elected, I promise to serve with integrity, fairness and impartiality to administer equal justice to all. My experience in serving clients in the Brazoria county area has provided me with an extensive background on the types of cases heard by this court.
