Educator John P. Jones Jr. graduated from Frazier Matthews High School, Silsbee, Texas.  He received his Bachelor of Science Degree and Master of Science Degree from Prairie View A&M University, Prairie View, Texas.  He is married to Dennie M. Jones.  Mr. Jones is the father of three children...John P. Jones, Jr., Paulettia Laws, Wade K. Jones and two stepchildren...Leonard & Shana August.  He is a member of The Church of the Living God, Bay City, Texas where he serves as a Deacon and Secretary.  When he is asked , he serves as a speaker and Sunday School Teacher at different churches in the community.  He loves to teach the Word of God.  Mr. Jones is a retired  School Teacher and Coach.  He worked thirty-four years in the Education field at Hungerford Jr. High School, George Washington Carver High School, Sweeny, Texas and Windhan School System, TDC.e is a World War II Veteran, and a member of Sweeny Lions Club. His philosophy of life is “Do Unto others as you would have them do unto you”, and “Love thy neighbor as thyself”.
