Accordingly, man is unique among all God’s creations, having both a material body and an immaterial soul/spirit.

Ken Connor It is our civic duty to vote, but is it our Christian duty? Some Christians seem to believe that the political world is so corrupt that it is better to avoid it altogether. While it is easy to appreciate this "other-worldly" sentiment, it is hard to justify from a biblical perspective.

I once heard of a church where members thought it was against Gods will to vote. Concerned that a corrupt politician would win a local election, church members gathered for an all-night prayer vigil. In the morning, however, they refused to vote and the good candidate lost--by fewer than the number of votes represented by those at the prayer meeting.
